I am doing a little research on my Grandfather's unit. He was assigned to A Bat. 270th FA Bn. It was one of the 15ea 240mm gun units in the ETO. I have had a little luck finding info, but very sporadic and piecemeal.
Any help pointing me towards info about the unit or its members is appreciated.
