In 49 minutes by my Australian clock we will be on the 25th of April. This is a momentous day for all Australians, and one in which we remember the sacrifices not only of our original ANZACs, but also of our other war verterans who served, and for many, who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
For my international friends I ask that you observe this day no matter what country we are from, as it is for all the sacrifices of men of their calibre that we live today.
I personally shall be wearing a black armband to work tomorrow...I ask that everyone show some sort of symbol in respect of these great people.

    God bless them all.Amen.

I tip my hat in memory and respect for the Anzac vets.

This is also in memory of the last Original Anzac vet who fought at Gallapoli--who passed away several months ago. :( :( :(

    I'll certainly remember the Anzac.

    Best of the "British" forces.

    And just love this one..

Maybe the Brits were a tad upset at not being allowed to execute Anzacs on a whim in ww1? S

It's also a day to remember men wrongly accused. HARRY 'BREAKER' MORANT comes to mind.

    We will always remember them.

It is interesting that while the media spotlight is on Gallapoli, 2% of the male population of New Zealand in WW1 were killed in France.

In WW2 New Zealand had the second highest casualty rate per head of population (behind Russia).

Also, Recently announced was the design for New Zealand's 'Tomb of the Unknown Warrior' to be Completed on the 11th of November.

It will be placed in front of the Carillion War Memorial in Wellington (built in the 1930s)
