The owner of the house where Adolf Hitler was born wants to sell the property, but the local authority in Braunau-am-Inn tries to block any sale because it fears it could end up in the hands of neo-nazis. The town council would like to purchase it, but there is not enough money in the town coffers to buy the property, Salzburger Vorstadt 15. It was in a room on the first floor of the 3-storey house that Hitler's mother Klara gave birth to her son on April 20, 1889. The only Nazi-era sign is on an iron gate, the initials MB for Hitler's party secretary Martin Bormann, who declared the house a national monument after Hitler annexed Austria in 1938. Fanatical Nazis tried to blow the house up before American troops arrived but they failed.

Hitler's house goes on sale with £2m price tag - but authorities fear it could become fascist shrine | Mail Online

My guess is whomever buys it will more than likely use Hitler's ties to it for profit.

That looks like a pretty nice place on the outside, it's a bit odd that the owners want to sell it considering a single family has owned it since, presumably even from before Hitler's birth.

Anyone know how business is for this place? If it's bad, I guess the only logical thing they can do is maybe convert it to a local museum?

you can well imagine with a little face lift this could go a long way don't think buring it down will solve anything as fools will try to memorialize the spot.

I don't see how burning it down would solve anything, if we burned down everything touched by people who did bad things in their lives we wouldn't have much left on this earth!

Or...now picture this...I know it's crazy...SOMEBODY might actually buy it because....*gasp* it's a piece of history. Like it or not. You can't burn the bad history away, or knock it down. It's going to be what it is. Just hope somebody who's NOT a Neo-Nazi buys it, if the sales goes through. What's worse? Someone buying it to own it, or someone buying it to turn it into a Mecca of Hate?

Fine if they won't burn it down, then I say transform it into a hell's kitchen....let's just say it's a fitting reminder to where he might be.

Sit in the very same room where the most evil man on earth came popping out from between the....... we'll let's not spoil your appitite..

Or better yet, Build a Chrysler plant there, and in just a matter of time, it should burn itself down to the ground! :D

    LOL...

ahh, I should have worked for Comedy Central.
