My name is Fred. I was born and raised in Alsace. As a child I was marked by the stories told by my father. He was liberated on November 25, 1944 in the early morning by the troops of the 3rd battalion of the 399th infantry regiment of the 100th infantry division. It is thanks to these soldiers that my family was able to survive this war. I have a deep respect for what they did far from their country. I would like to find testimonies of these soldiers during these days of November 1944. Hope to find this on this forum. Thanks Fred

Thank you very much to all. I've been looking around a bit. I have not yet found a marching diary of this regiment. I will continue to search. On the other hand there are many very interesting subjects on the Battle of Alsace. I am looking forward to read them and to develop my knowledge. Thanks to all

You can search by , War 1or 2 - also by ,a particular Theater- Like The Pacific Theatre…then you’ll find Veterans who served WWII Pacific Theater first . They’re all great stories tho
