I'd have a pair of these in a heartbeat if they ever become viable. Already started saving. "Regular glasses could soon double as night vision goggles after scientists developed an ultra-thin crystal film which acts as a filter to help humans see in the dark. The transparent metallic film contains nanometre-scale crystals that are hundreds of times thinner than human hair. It can be applied directly to a pair of spectacles and works by converting infrared light, which is invisible to the human eye, into images people can see. The design is still a proof of concept but researchers believe it could revolutionise night vision by offering a cheap and lightweight replacement for bulky goggles used by the military and police. Scientists also say it could make it safer for people to drive at night and walk home after dark. The ultra-compact technology, which does not require any power source, was developed by an international team involving the Australian National University (ANU) and Nottingham Trent University." www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-9692557/Scientists-develop-ultra-crystal-film-allow-humans-DARK.html
The Germans had night vision means by early 1945 for Panthers already. Not goggles but other means. I recall they sold for 40+ years ago glasses you could see under clothes. Men were naturally interested. Not seen those since. Sorry I am a bit pessimistic. They want only your money, I think. If the glasses sell like hot cakes I think again.
I recall those ads in the '60s comic books. So cheap even a ten year old could collect enough bottles to buy one.
how about the 98 pound weakling having sand thrown in his face Famous "98 pound weakling" Charles Atlas ad from 1972
