http://www.thestar.com/news/article/883649--i-voted-for-somebody-i-just-don-t-know-who?bn=1 Weird story, but it raises a few interesting questions.
One has to wonder how often people in the Western world vote without knowing anything about the candidates when they have all of their five sences intact!
I KNOW who I voted for, none of them were dems ;-)) I didnt place a vote for anyone who didnt have anyone running against them.
well sometimes I feel the same way as that lady.Sometimes it feels like im going in that booth blind... Doesn't matter who you vote for the end result is the same. They are all the same. whether they claim they are democrats, republicans, liberals, conservatives.. the end result is they are all they same. They promise so much, but fork out very little. they sit in their cosy chair, cover their ears and fill their pockets with our hard earned tax dollars. So for that lady to go into a booth and just pick anybody, well good for her for doing her civic duty. She may not known who she picked, but neither anyone of us knows either. We may think we know, but politicans have a bad habit of changing their minds, and forgetting what they say. It's Sad but it's true. I don't know how it is in America, but here in Canada, sometimes I wonder what the future holds for our govenment
And I looked round that room, and I wondered: am I the only one who can see it? And if so, what must I look like to them? This operation of voting without knowing could make the Charge of the Light Brigade look like a sensible military exercise! It's not just enough to vote, one should always know who for and why they are voting, else stay home.
