So...I might be going to Berlin at the end of the month for about a week. Not likely to have a car...but any recommended or must-see WW2 related things I should try and make my way to? Not opposed to jumping on a Train to get outside of Berlin. There seems to be a good deal of things in Berlin that crop up on every site when you google such things - but anything off the beaten path?
For starters Russo-German Museum Karlshorst Soviet War Memorial and Cemetery Treptower Park German AA bunker Gesundbrunnen Soviet War memorial Tiergarten Holocaust memorial Seelow Heights Cemetery and museum German cemetery (Friedhof) Seelow Kuestrin Museum and ruined city German history museum Unter den Linden Allied Forces museum Oh and buy one of the guides to the battlefields. Thanks for the info. It didn't work out in the end. Tickets were a bit more expensive than we were expecting. Still on my bucket list to get out that way sometime in the near future!
