Username: Trouble Sent: *10 July 2026 (presented to the front desk at local Hotel for inclusion in outgoing mail) Postmark: none Arrived: 22 July 2026 From: Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier | Galveston, Texas, USA Trouble, the First Lady of the WWII Forums drops us a hello with a wooden postcard postboard from the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier. She makes an annual summer trip out to the ocean with our two children, and dutifully submitted this entry. You can see her earlier submission from Galveston Island, TX from way back in 2022. She mentioned the wooden surface was very difficult to write on with a pen, and the resultant message was somewhat abbreviated. This wooden postcard is a full 1/8" thick and quite stiff. I'm mildly surprised it made the trip through regular mail. Here are three coins arranged to demonstrate thickness; a British £1 (one pound GBP), an American $1 (one dollar USD), and a Canadian $1 (one dollar CAD). Remember to check the WW2 Forums/Forces Postal Service Map for a look at our growing list of all WW2F/FPS submissions.
