Any more info? This is about as vague as it gets. "Police in Brussels surround man wearing "long coat and wires", spokesman tells Belgian media" http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-36844437
Since almost 3 hours the police are covering a possible terrorist, for the moment, they do nothing else, they wait for the arrival of a specialised unit who will send a robot to look if the man has explosives and if so to render them harmless .
I see what you mean- "Police have held at a man at gunpoint in the Belgian capital Brussels after he was reportedly spotted wearing a heavy winter coat with wires protruding it. A massive security operation was launched near Place de la Monnaie in the centre of the city after the man was seen acting suspiciously. He also wore a long coat, which is said to have had cables hanging from it. This is despite temperatures in Brussels reaching up to 32 degrees today, and he drew the attention of a security guard who alerted police. Pictures from the scene have shown two armed police officers pointing their guns at the man while he places his hands on his head. A bomb disposal robot is also understood to have moved in close to the scene. A Brussels police spokeswoman confirmed that the situation was under control but the man has not yet being arrested. Christian De Coninck of Brussels Police told local TV: 'We got a call about someone acting suspiciously. Someone with a heavy winter coat - in these temperatures it's very suspicious. 'And there were wires coming out of the coat too." http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3699448/Man-held-gunpoint-police-Brussels-spotted-wearing-long-coat-wires-protruding-it.html#ixzz4Exd1IbhP If they'd said temperatures were 89F, I'd have known what they were talking about. Keep having this argument with my youngest,
The man was innocent . Why he was wearing a winter coat in the summer ? No one knows . It seems that he is a student .He did research about radiation
Well, I've seen people in winter wearing thick thermal insulated jackets in the sunshine. While that fact wasn't surprising, it was in Saudi Arabia, and the outside temperature was 28 degrees in the shade...
Right. In other words, probably frozen. Remember meeting an Aussie tourist in Stirling 20 odd years in August who was wearing a ski jacket inside a pub.
