I was wondering if anybody read his columns. They can be found here Colonel Hackworth is probably the most decorated American (retired) soldier alive today. He began his career as a private and, recieved a battlefield commission. Probably the most knowledgable man when it comes to guerilla warfare. Some of his articles have political tones which might alienate some readers but, I think it's because he distrust's all politicians.
Read "Brave Men." It tells of his time in post war Europe with occupation forces to his exploits in Vietnam.
